The George Lanter Memorial Scholarship
George Lanter, a former Urbana Theological Seminary board member, was a dedicated son, husband, father and grandfather but the role he cherished most was as a Christ follower. His personal relationship with the Lord began in his mid-20's. George always said that doing anything for the Lord was his greatest pleasure. George died on April 15, 2010, after a 15 month battle with cancer. His wife, children, and grandchildren set up a scholarship fund in George’s memory. Applicants will be interviewed before the final decision is made. This scholarship will be awarded at Urbana Seminary’s annual graduation ceremony and will finance a portion of the student’s tuition.
CRITERIA: This scholarship is available to any Urbana Seminary Program Student.
