The Seminary Library is a well-curated collection that provides rich and deep resources for learning, research, coursework, and personal growth. 

Location and Hours 

Urbana Theological Seminary’s main library is located on the third floor of University Baptist Church, 314 E. Daniel, Champaign, IL 61820.  There is metered parking available on 4th street.

Main Library hours: 10:00 am-3:00 pm Monday-Thursday

Urbana Theological Seminary’s library also includes the Cornerstone Branch located at Cornerstone Fellowship, 1101 East Colorado Avenue, Urbana, IL 61801. 

Cornerstone Branch hours: 9:00 am-12:00 pm Monday-Friday

Resources at Cornerstone Branch:
  • Conference Table that seats 14
  • Round Table that seats 4
  • 2 Student Carrels
  • Printer/Copier/Scanner
  • High-Speed Wifi (password is posted on the wall above printer)
  • Stapler/Pencil Sharpener/Scissors/Ruler
  • Approximately 5,000 books
  • Journal/Periodical collection

Checking Out and Returning Materials

When the Library is open but no one is available, materials may still be checked out by writing down your name and the five-digit number on the bar code sticker at the top right hand side of the back cover of the book. 

Materials being returned can be placed in the Bookdrop at the top of the stairs. Items that are too big to fit into the slot can be placed on top of the Bookdrop.

Materials marked “REF” may not be removed from the library without special arrangement. All class reserve items are considered reference materials and may not be removed from the library.

Circulation Policies

  • 25 Items per patron limit
  • Late fees are .10/day
  • Books check out for 3 weeks
  • Books can be renewed up to 3 times
  • Audio/visual material check out for 1 week
  • Audio/visual material can be renewed 1 time 

Book Donations

Urbana Theological Seminary’s Library welcomes donations. All materials are accepted; materials that we cannot use for whatever reason will be put into the seminary booksale. Those interested in making a donation to the Library are welcome to contact the Library at 217-365-9005.
