Physician-Assisted Suicide and the Limits of Self-Determination – Dr. Todd Daly
The notion that we should be able to die “on our own terms” and enlist the help of physicians to bring about our own death in a timely manner—whether as an affirmation of individual autonomy, to avoid futile and costly medical procedures, or to spare loved ones further pain, sorrow, and exhaustion—resonates deeply with a culture increasingly focused on individual rights and devoted to the eliminating of suffering. Do we have a right to die? We examine the growing phenomenon of physician assisted suicide from a Christian perspective.
This lecure series is free and EVERYONE is invited to join us! The lecture begins at 7:00 pm at Stratford Park Bible Chapel, 2801 W Kirby Ave, Champaign, IL 61821, and is followed by a discussion time that ends at 8:30. Coffee and dessert are provided.
