Seventh Annual Preaching Forum

Norm Hubbard

We live in an age where people are less and less familiar with Scripture.  As God’s spokespeople, do we adopt methods that point to the authority, clarity, and relevance of God’s Word?  Or do we preach in a manner that actually tends to undermine people’s confidence that they can hear from God in his Word?  Examines the possibility that as we communicate we are undermining people’s confidence that they can read the Bible and hear from God themselves.  This forum will explain how we can adopt a method of preaching Scripture that fosters people’s confidence that they can come to the text and hear God speak in understandable ways so that they can understand and act on what they have heard.
How do we preach in a way that creates disciples who hear God in his Word and obey?
