GN 500 200: Research Paper Boot Camp

An in-depth, hands-on class that walks the student through the process of writing one research paper. Topics that will be addressed include choosing and narrowing a topic, gathering sources, organizing ideas, structuring a paper, citations, drafting, and revision.
This course will be taught as a modular, meeting only four Saturdays: Feb 5, March 5, Apr 2, and Apr 30, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm with a one hour break in the middle.

BI/CT 740 110: Mary Magdalene: Scripture, Tradition, and Imagination

An introduction to the nature of graduate research, the methods used in conducting research, strategies for writing, and resources and tools used in conducting graduate-level research. Required of all incoming students in all programs.

GN 700 – 100 Integrative Senior Seminar
- Start date: January 22, 2018
A synthesis of the student’s seminary studies with the goal of helping the student integrate the whole seminary experience into a more focused preparation for active vocational ministry, usually through a major research paper or practical project. Opportunity will be given to study candidacy and interview methods. The student will be required to complete the assessment portfolio for graduation as part of this course. Required of all M.A.R. and M.Div. students. Recommended during the last semester of a student’s program.
