A historical and theological overview of the changes in the history of Western Christianity in the sixteenth century.  Topics covered include the condition of the late Medieval Church; the Lutheran, Zwinglian, and Calvinist reformations; the rise of Anglicanism; the Anabaptist and radical movements; and the Counter-Reformation.  Special attention will be given to how the Reformation transformed the religious and culture landscape of Western Europe.  This class is in conjunction with an optional Reformation Tour in Europe.
