An introductory survey of the New Testament within the context of the Hellenistic-Roman world of the first century A.D. The genres of literature in the New Testament, as well as consideration of the contents, teaching and literary structure of the individual books. Examination of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, apostolic history, principal critical issues, and the unity and diversity of New Testament theology.
